Advanced Tower Systems (ATS) is a fast-growing enterprise who has developed a new tower concept for large wind turbines as an economically and logistically attractive alternative to steel towers. The first tower has been built last year in Grevenbroich, Germany; a 133m high hybrid tower in combination with the Siemens 2.3MW wind turbine. ATS is a joint venture of MECAL, Hurks Groep and Juwi.
Products
ATS offers hybrid towers for larger and higher wind turbines, which increases the energy production considerably because of better wind conditions at these heights. The patented hybrid tower combines a reinforced precast concrete segmented tower with tubular steel tower sections at the top.
The lower tower sections, which require a diameter larger than the 4.3m transport limit allows, are vertically divided into three or more segments made out of high-quality reinforced precast concrete. The segments are long and slender and can be transported by ordinary trucks. ATS delivers turnkey projects for the construction of hybrid towers and product licensing along with
consultancy.
For the on-site construction supervision during the tower erection phase we are looking for a highly qualified
Site Manager
with solid experience in reinforced concrete structures, preferably also in precast concrete works.
Responsibilities
· Managing the construction of precast concrete towers
· Coordinating project teams in which the customers, contractors and suppliers participate
· Ensuring an optimal allocat ion of project members and means
· Ensuring efficient performance of all participants working under ATS direction
Profile
· Solid technical and practical know-how in reinforced concrete construction (5+ years)
· Experienced in heavy equipment use (cranes), safety on site, stringent quality control, efficient daily works planning and project completion
· Cost conscious
· Flexibility, high commitment, team leadership, goal orientated, able to communicate and coordinate efficiently
· Problem solving also in difficult on site situations
· Bachelor or master degree in Civil -or Mechanical Engineering.
· International working experience, preferably in wind farm projects, in the position of a site manager. Has to control contractor’s works at heights (up to 90 m high)
· Creative mindset with eye for both depth and commerce
· High performance driven
· Excellent expression skills, especially in English and German, both verbally and in writing
· Willing to travel regularly and to work at different locations
