Application procedure
If you have responded to a vacancy at MECAL or if you have sent an open application, you will receive a confirmation of your application within a few days. We will invite you for a first interview, if there is a positive match between your background and the position of your interest.
This interview is usually with the company recruiter and the business unit manager and will take place at the head office in Enschede. If this first interview is positive, then we will invite you to the next selection round. In this round you will meet with a project manager and an employee from the department in question. When all parties have a positive impression, we will offer you a contract and the last step is an interview with our HR-representative.
Open application
When we receive an open application we check if your resume and interests are valuable for MECAL. If your application is not suitable at the moment, then we save your data for future vacancies. We take all (open) applications very seriously and you will always get an answer from us.
Advice
- Write a short motivation with a clear resume
Describe your motivation short and be to-the-point. Be honest in your resume; a sabbatical is a sabbatical and when you are in between jobs, please specify. - Make clear descriptions in your resume (per occupation)
Specify the responsibilities, targets and achievements for each occupation. Also mention the reason for departure. Do not be too modest but be fair. - Are you invited for an interview?
Prepare yourself well. It happens too many times that candidates are not prepared; visit useful internet sites and be informed about the developments of the market. - Clarify your wishes
Identifying your own skills, competences and boundaries are much more powerful than accepting a position with a number of questions. - Apply!
