Hobbies
In my free time I like to ride (and repair) my motorbike. When it’s working, I like to make longer trips e.g. into The Alps in Switzerland. Beside that I enjoy meeting with friends in the weekend, go swimming in the evenings and barbecue in the summer.
Why did I choose for MECAL?
Even though I had been offered a lucrative job at a large German industrial company, I decided to work at a smaller company, where the communication lines are short and everybody is open to new ideas. At MECAL, I exactly found what I was looking for and people are enthusiastic about their work.
What do I most like about MECAL?
At MECAL, we have young engineers from around the world. It is nice to exchange thoughts about engineering problems with different people. Additionally, I like the combination of engineering work in the office (design of wind turbine components) and field work (gearbox inspections on wind turbines). It is nice to be able to see how the things you design every day are working in an actual turbine.
MECAL vs. other companies?
At MECAL, you can learn a lot of things and everybody listens when someone has a good idea. Also, the working climate at MECAL is really good. Group activities are organized, which are always nice to get to know your colleagues.
