Quality, Environmental and Safety
MECAL has implemented an Integrated Management System. The current registered management system standards are NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2008, NEN-EN-ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
By adopting the disciplines required by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 MECAL is able to demonstrate control over the processes, ensuring confidence that our requirements for quality, environmental and health and safety are consistently fulfilled and maintained.
We are committed to the promoting the sustainability of our products, processes, and services through: maximizing the effectiveness of our quality control systems; the reduction of risk and employee exposure to health and safety hazards; the prevention of pollution; and continual improvement of our overall management system performance, as an integral part of our continuing business operations.
We ensure, as a minimum, that the quality, environmental, health and safety aspects of our products, processes and services are in full compliance with relevant and applicable legislation, customer requirements and other standards to which MECAL subscribes.
Compliance with such standards, and continual improvement of our operations, relies on effectively planned, managed and monitored systems, along with the setting of appropriate and achievable objectives and targets. Quality, environmental and health & safety objectives are established, measurable and consistent with MECAL Policies.
As part of the continuous improvement process MECAL promotes quality, environmental, and health & safety awareness amongst our employees who are expected to adhere to the policies set by MECAL. All employees are responsible, through their adherence to these policies and relevant system procedures, for ensuring customer satisfaction, pollution prevention and promoting a clean, safe and healthy work environment.
The integrated management system is reviewed twice yearly as a part of MECAL’s Management Review process.
MECAL is committed to continuous improvement of our operations by systematic auditing, both internal and external, and by responsive actions from customer feedback.
