Review Precisiebeurs 2009, The Netherlands.

"It is always a pleasure to have a booth on an exhibition such as the Precisiebeurs, where we can meet our customers and present our latest inventions. This year MECAL presented a revolutionary 6-DOF active vibration isolated platform (the Hummingbird). There was considerable interest in the Hummingbird, which resulted in various requests from institutes and OEMs to start validating its performance in the next few weeks" - Johan van Seggelen, Business Development Manager, MECAL Semiconductor Product Development.

Another product that MECAL showed at the exhibition is the Cornea Topographer. MECAL developed this opto-mechatronic system for measuring the cornea of a human eye with unsurpassed accuracy. The Cornea Topographer is capable of constructing surface- and height maps based on 400.000 points on the cornea, up to a diameter of 22 mm. By presenting de Cornea Topographer, MECAL showed her business partners expertise on opto-mechatronics.

"The Precisiebeurs 2009 proved to be a very successful event for us, it was a good opportunity to exchange views and interest was high. The exhibit showed more developments and new products than last year. An interesting development for us in the future is the possibility of rapid prototyping of motion controllers, using 20-sim software" - Bernhard Bakker, Business Unit Manager, MECAL Semiconductor Product Development.
